Poultry, beef, pork, packaged red and chum salmon can be purchased at low prices when on sale. You can also find many varieties of tuna and imported floor fish as a substitute food choice at really low retails. keep in mind, packed in water and low salt when purchasing canned seafood.

Beans, legumes, vegetables are an important part to the successful weight loss or lifestyle program. Don't neglect dairy, like eggs, mozzarella cheese, milk, and yogurt. First Nations weight loss does not mean you have to starve yourself or eat boring foods. Find a protein and fibre dependent diet and plug in your traditional foods when available. First Nations or not, periods and availability dictate food selections. So use what is in season.
